Introducing ourselves
Hello everybody! We're very happy and thrilled to have you all here at our blog. The idea is to share experiences and anecdotes from each country. Teachers will be posting topics to write about each week. Keep the writing going!

Hi! My name is Jill Watrous. I live in Des Moines, Iowa, in the Midwest area of the United States. For 19 years I've been a teacher in public schools, working with children ages 5-12 in many subject areas. My work is called Extended Learning because we do work outside of the regular curriculum based on students' strengths and interests. Also I taught at an art museum for twenty years. My current students are making a large artwork based on first making Mobius strips. Have you ever made one? If you go to Google Images and enter "Mobius strip" you'll find many examples of how they can be used in designing everything from playground slides to jewelry. :) I'm eager to have my students write to you soon and to read what you wrote! We have only six days of school left for this school year however I think some of them may want to get online to write to you in the summer. I'll send out your blog address to students & parents to encourage this...! Thanks to you for writing and especially to your wonderful teacher for starting this blog! I was nervous at first to write here ... and she encouraged me! :) Ms. Watrous

Hi, my name is Cameron and I live in the Iowa,USA. We don't have much school left and Summer is a few days away (it's almost 90 degrees too)!My favorite sports are swimming and running. My favorite food is Grapefruit, and my Favorite animal is a teacup pig! Buy!
